Dahl & Chris HOG trip
Lots of switch backs going over Bear Tooth pass. Here's a trivia question. What does HOG stand for? Answer comes later. We went with a group of 5 bikers and their wives. Went thru the park, Red Lodge Mt, and back down to Cody and again thru the park.
The majestic Lower Falls in Yellowstone. It had been over 15 years since we were last here. Very impressive falls.
No Chris is not pregnant. Let's just say all that leather and rain gear looked a little bulky on little petite Chris.
Here is our 900lb Harley, with stereo and luggage compartment. Picture is at 11000 feet Beartooth highway headed to Cooke City, MT. The wind was howling, and it was very chilee. Glad we had our leathers on this time. HOG stands for Harley Owners Group. So I guess we don't really fit that, cause we are Harley Renters Group. It was a great time.

Boys will be Boys
Top Pic, Dahl, Middle is Jacob, Bottom is Unc. Steven. We have really had a lot of snow this year. The mountains are at 120% of normal with snow depths. The boys have fun jumping on the snow drifts, and the women have fun riding the hills. Great to live in such a diverse winter wonderland. We have 7-8 great places to ride. Never go the same direction twice. And when we get so much snow throughout the week, the mtn. areas look like no one has ever been riding on them. Monday, February 21, 2011
The SV Simpson tribe has been working hard, but taking some time out to play as well.
Chris got a great Valentines Day deal at Targhee ski resort, so we ditched school on Monday Feb 14, and had a great time skiing the backside slopes of the grand teton !
Saturday Feb 12, we went out for our first Family XC ski trip at the golf course in Afton. Chris goes out almost daily behind our house. Dahl goes about twice a week. Great Exercise !!
Feb 21, Presidents day, 3 of us traveled down Allred road, across to snowy Pole Line Rd, and up the Grover highway (much of the time in the snowy gutters) and up Grover Park for a lot of fun in the new 1 foot of powder snow that has fallen over the past few days. We only got stuck 4 times.

Carpet by Nephews Darnell and Devan

Bedroom and Bath by Nephews and Re-Bath.Over Christmas holiday break, we had planned ahead to change out carpet, put in tile in the walk way of the living room, also laminate in the walkway of the bedroom, and redo the bathroom, removing the worthless corner jetted tub etc..... Well, with tons of help from Janae and Jacob aka teenager moving company.. and help from Stephen with the tile, and Darnell and Devan on the carpet and laminate, we are 96% completed for the new year.
Yahoo !!. We are celebrating News Years Morning with yummy bran muffins from the oven from a delicious recipe made by mom. We're taking a few plates of the same to the neighbors.. right now.
