Mom Turns a Happy 44

Yes, those numbers just roll off your tongue....44.....44. But it's a special person who gets to call that number her own. Congrates MOM on turning 44, and still looking like 33.

Cooking Contest Anyone?

Hey Allen: Now here is some food to brag about. Mom made Faj'etas that were better than the local Mexican restaurant. The plate next to it is Jacobs attempt at frying up a stake--since he won't eat the above mentioned. Yum Yumm.

The next Mariah Carey !

Janae singing in "Trebletones." The all girls elite choir at SVHS. They not only sing, but they shake their boote' too. Janae is also doing Swing Dance with Mrs. Holyoak. She will be in the school musical "Grease" this coming week. She just finished Volleyball. She sure likes to stay busy..... :)

FHE pumpkin carving. Can you tell which one is Jacob's?

Food Fairy

So when I came to college I weighed 138 pounds, I now Weigh 133, for those of you who aren't good with math I have lost 5 pounds, in order to get my freshman fifteen(which was the reason I came to college) I now need to gain 20 pounds which is very dooable. When I told my parents that I lost weight they offered to buy me some groceries, which I have displayed for you in the pics that follow :) Now all I need is some one to cook the food that I have purchased :(

Lost and Found

So I lost the camera and I thought that I had lost an apendage. I had some real cute pictures that I wanted to show. I was really worried for a few days. So we prayed and David found the camera. With out it I wouldn't be able to show you these!Jamie loves her daddy! This was after dinner when we were playing around with her.
"Look at my pretty dress. Aren't I adorable"

This is Jamie's favorite toy. It goes everywhere with her and she loves loves to suck on it!

What's your hearts desire?

Today in institute we read in Abraham 1:2 about desire and we talked a lot about how the true desire of our hearts will motivate our actions and effect the outcome of what we become. Neal A. Maxwell has some really deep thoughts about this in his talk. (It's full of good visuals and amazing quotes!) We were challenged to write down the desires of our own hearts, whether they be righteous desires or not so righteous desires, (and really be honest about them) to see if we're on the path we want to be on. I'm extending the challenge to any of you that read this! It's pretty powerful.

I just wanted to tell you all THANK YOU for posting so much and commenting! It makes our blog pretty darn awesome. Also just wanted to let anyone know who was worried that I'm ok. My heart just beats prematurely sometimes and as long as I don't have any more "episodes" I should be fine. Love you guys!

The Great Hunter

Jacob killed his first duck at age 13 1/2. He shot the duck, found the duck, plucked the duck, and even cooked & ate the duck. All in the same day. Way to go Jacob. You are now one step closer to being a man.

Weather in SV

Dad got a new Temp gauge for his Birthday. It really is a great deal, as it also doubles as a snow depth meter as well. Brrrrr. I think Halloween will be cancelled this month.

Janae Rocks SV Volleyball

Janae is playing JV and Varsity Volleyball Libero. She is doing GREAT, and having a good time with her friends. She admits, "only 3 weeks to go" is sounding pretty good.

Making Memories

Jacob and Janae had never played the real game of Scrabble. So we played it as a family on Sunday evening after conference. Had a great time...and used all the chips but ONE.

Janae defined "emu-girl" as the girl who takes care of the emu's !! We fell for it. However, Mom won because she scored triple word on "Zit" scoring 36.

Allens Break from Laramie

Allen came home to SV over the weekend. We put him to work harvesting the garden, in the Rain & Mud. He didn't want to get his clothes muddy, so he worked in his shorts.....and plastic sacks on his feet.

More ways to procrastinate studying....

Calm and Collected Hot

Catching a movie along with good food and fun friends often beats a wild night out. Why not enjoy a brisk ride in a horse carriage or a fine wine from a good year. You love life and don't feel the need to live it in fast forward. You are really hot because you're already so cool with your life.
