So my baby shower was today and it was lots of fun! We smelled melted candybars in diapers and guessed what candy bar was in there. It was so gross!!! I won with 4 out of 6 but we gave the prize to the next person in line with 3 because I had plenty of presents :) We had cake and visited and of course opened presents. It was great! You can tell I missed you guys and that I had some time because there are a bunch of pictures for you to look at. :)

This is me and a really yucky looking melted candybar. EWWWW! David gets to change all the diapers I decided :)

Blankets Galore!!

I got a lot of blankets and oh how wonderful everyone of them are! This beautiful blanket was made by Aunt Tonya and brought by Sherri. Don't you love it!
This adorable blanket was made by my sister Lori Ann. She also made a bumper, curtains, and a thing to go on the crib that holds things. All made out of the cutest material ever!
This blanket was made by a lady in Grandma's ward. It is so pretty with ruffles on the side. This was from grandma to baby :) It reminds me of the green blanket grandma made me when I was a baby.

Baby Shower

This is my cake made by a lady in the ward. The theme was jungle babies. Isn't it cute? It tasted great too!!!
This is a diaper cake that Krystyn made for me. It had 100 diapers along with hair bands and onesies. It was so cool!! She is amazing.

Senior Mistake ; )

Check out this rad tatoo I got in Denver. Now when I go on my mission I will have to wear a long sleeve shirt everywhere. Hey but at the time it seemed like a good idea.
p.s if you were wondering what the tat meant it means Genuine Bad A**.
aka (Allen Boyd Simpson.)

No...We didn't fall off the face of the Planet

I know you all have missed the MAHvelous posts that decorate the Dahl Simpson Family Blog. I dare say it's my fault because, yes that's right, the world revolves around me. I came home from college and suddenly everyone lost all desire to post because, well, I'm so much better in person than on the internet. So the blog might be a little dead during the summer with only Anna to save the day because she finally got the internet in her home and will soon be having my niece to take pictures of! Everyone else will be leaving for Mexico tomorrow. The only reason I'm blogging right now is because I should be writing a paper. That's when I blog the best, when i'm procrastinating what I really should be doing. But honestly would any one here want to write a seven page paper about why the analysis of women's work in terms of race, class, and history is essential to the study of contemporary work issues? Yeah that's what I thought. Which brings me to my next point: An update about, of course, MY life. Don't worry I'll try to get it out in one sentence: (I know, spaztic picture)

I'm twenty years old, livin in my home town for three months, workin as a pharmacy technician, going back to college to finish my last year with a degree in Physiology/Zoology so I can carry on into some health care profession, taking two online summer classes, feeling very poor, still dating Stephen as I have been for the last eight or so months, and NO i am not engaged, nor do any of you need to plan on any sorts of a wedding for another year or more.

Get ready for a picture plethora in about a week!

Yay for Internet

Hello family and friends. We finally got the internet at our house so posting will be something I do more often now. Thanks for all of your prayers and concerns and comments on the blog. We have been very blessed. The doctor in Denver said that our baby is perfectly fine. Her abdomen is a little small so she may not be getting all the calories she needs from the placenta, but there is nothing we can do about it. He said that pretty much we are going to have a scrawny baby. She weighs around 3 lbs 9 ounces and that was 1 week ago. My abdomen is slowly growing and so life is good. She is very active and they say that is the biggest indication that she is doing well. So thank-you for the support we felt your prayers and for that we are truly greatful! :)

Baby Update

Well for those of you that don't know we got a call from the doc saying that baby is in the low third percentile for growth. Pretty much she is smaller than they want her to be. So I am now doing non-stress tests two times a week. This is where they put a plastic circle on your tummy and monitor the babies heart beat and movements. The first test went well. They said her heart is doing just what it is supposed to be doing. We are also headed to Denver next week to get an in depth ultrasound. This will show babies blood flow and other cool things. So keep us in your prayers but don't worry too much because she is an active baby and they say that is the biggest indicator of a healthy baby!

New job

Well I thought I would let everyone know that I have officially taken the job at Western Vista FCU here in Capser. RLDA has been very good to me and I couldnt have asked for a better job right out of college but its time to move on. My RLDA days are not entirely over either, I will continue to do night/weekend meetings if needed and will try to get my own clients to work on as well. So I really hope that this new job works out for Anna and I. Wish me luck everyone. :)

Can you tell that I've missed the blog?

So on Wednesday I was outside in shorts and I felt HOT. I kid you not, the temperature was so warm that I wanted to be inside of my freezing house. And I look outside my window at this very moment and it looks like this:

(Ok so that's not the view outside my window because my camera took its last breath...er picture last week and then decided it was time to leave this world...er go in the garbage.)

IT'S BLIZZARDING! And of course it's windy...it's always windy. I found this funny and I thought y'all who've ever lived in laramie would enjoy it.

Top 10 list for how you can tell it's windy in Laramie:
(10) The water in your toilet ebbs and flows in rhythm with the wind gusts!

(9) You no longer walk your dog: you fly him instead!

(8) The UWyo Arena-Auditorium no longer has a roof. But War Memorial Stadium does!

(7) Your weekly required exercise is now fulfilled simply by retrieving your empty garbage can on trash day!

(6) Your ceiling fan begins turning. By itself. Indoors. With the switch set to "off"!

(5) Lake Hattie Reservoir has been renamed Hattie Swamp!

(4) Blow-drying your hair is now just a matter of opening your font door for 10 seconds!

(3) Walking West burns 10 times as many calories per hour as walking East!

(2) The leftover weeds in your backyard are no longer a problem for you; they're now a problem for your neighbor!

...and the number 1 way you can tell it's windy in Laramie:

(1) It's April. Or it's March. Or January, February, May, June, July, August, September, October, November or December!

WAHOO! The last LEG!

Oh man I have been neglecting my blogging duties! I feel it is justified as I had four finals this week! My physiology class drops your lowest test grade so if you do well on the first three exams you don't have to take the final. I had an A in the class and was expecting to not have to take the final. We had one test left and I had to pull at least a 73 to keep my A. The test we took this week was SO HARD! I was pretty worried for a day because the class average was a 59....But then they posted our test scores and what was mine may you ask? 80! OH YAH! Sarah rocks at physiology (we won't mention that my roommate got a 96) I'm done with everything but two tests! and I only have to get a 61 on one of them. Next week is going to ROCK compared to this week. Time to start the school paper pyre! BURN BABY BURN!

Baby News!!

Hello Family,
Well we got a second ultra sound today because my tummy is measuring a little small. The tech said we are having a girl, in her words "nothing has grown or fallen off since the last ultrasound :)" We got to see her ear and the side of her face. We also got to see her grabbing her foot. It was so cool!!! WE have it on video. I found out why my rib is a little sore because her foot is pressed up against it :) We asked how much the baby weighed and she said 3lbs 1 ounce. According to the books she is right there with the avg. baby. So all seems well. I can't wait to have her here!!! Well I can wait actually another 9 weeks to be precise.
