Today was Stake Conference and I'm so proud of myself because i showed up 40 minutes EARLY and I got a good seat. Oh man it was NOISY (cuz of all the little children) but it was still very very good. Stephen and I also attended the adult session last night and it was also a spiritual feast! The gospel is true! Gotta love it!

Gotta love Relief Society!

I forgot to mention that on Saturday I also went to a relief society birthday party. We learned a great lesson, ate fruit and muffins, and of course, made a craft. This is mine.

Uh...I like it :) Not anything I'd hang on the wall in my future home but I like it. Stephen made a pretty funny face when I showed it to him.

Anna and Macy chillin on the couch watching their husbands battle it out on the PlayStation 3. Wyoming beat up on the Cougars of BYU :)

This is David and Brandon's favorite passtime. It is tradition to stay up until 3 or 4 in the morning playing play station. They will be doing this until they die. :)

Surprise!!!!

Well David and I took a trip to Utah to visit friends. I got a little itch to have a change so I had my friend Macy cut my hair. TADA there was more hair on the floor than left on my head!! David thinks it's cute.

Sunny Saturday

Yesterday was BEAUTIFUL weather...well minus the wind, but it's always windy here. I've been begging Stephen to take me hiking so we finally went to veda voo! And of course we went jeeping as well. Gotta love a man with a jeep! ;) Before we even got to our hiking spot we saw WILD TURKEYS! I had no idea they were that big! These are pictures taken with my phone so they're not all that great. Use your imagination if needed.

Also my choir is singing today. Hopefully all goes well!

Feast on the words of Christ

Last week I was wondering how I can share the Gospel with the many people I know that are not memebers of the Church. I was praying for an answer and reading the scriptures. 2 Nephi 32:3 gave me the answer(or started me on the road to find the answers). It says: Feast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should know.

Here's your first question: when it says "words of Christ" does it mean the words He actually said or does it mean the words or testiimonies about Christ?

I chose to start with the words He actually spoke. I have been reading in the Book of Mormon where he visits the people after His resurrection. I have truly been feasting! My message for today is 3 Nephi 18:24 "Therefore, hold up your light that it may shine unto the world. Behold I am the light which ye shall hold up-that which ye have seen me do."

Let His light shine through you today! Have a great day! Love, Mom

(I tried to put a cool picture here, but I haven't learned how yet. Another day! Remember to keep Aunt Tammy in your prayers!)

REDO! (focus on the music not the words)

Ok this video works! Turn up the volume and maybe even full screen it. ;) Just click on the link below and then click on the blue square...or the blue title to the right of it. Either way works wonderfully! HOORAY I'm so happy this worked :D

YouTube - My Videos

And if that doesn't work just go to the youtube website and in the search area type in sister missionaries music. A movie that's just a blue screen with white words should be there. CLICK ON IT!

Baby Hiccups!

Well I have discovered what baby hiccups feel like inside the womb. Let me tell you they are strange and a little annoying :) Most of all I just feel bad for baby. The other night she was hiccuping and kept it up for about 10 minutes. Imagine this rythymic pulse inside your tummy that just won't stop. On top of the hiccups she was moving around like crazy. My tummy was rolling on its own. Very strange and cool :) David says "I don't think she likes having the hiccups". I fear that this little baby is like her mother. Poor kid.

New Hobby

Kind of a cheesy picture I know. This is a new talent that I have gained. You are looking at balloons all tied by moi. There is a dog, girraffe, mouse, bee, elephant, and wiener dog included in the picture. Pretty good huh.

Good Stuff

I'm so glad everyone is back! It was gettin pretty lonely doin all that blogging with no comments. Ok so FANTASTIC NEWS! drum roll.....The brother and I are going to be nieghbors next year! Like sharing-the-same-wall-and-landlord neighbors! I guess it's not exactly official yet, but PERDY DERN CLOSE! I can't wait! And some more good news....another drum roll....well I suppose it's a good quote. Releif Society today was all about how the Lord is in charge and even though we don't understand right now, all our many struggles are going to be for our GOOD! And it's something I need to hear and love learning about. Oh yeah, quote:

"Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on: you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised. But presently He starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of — throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards. You thought you were going to be made into a decent little cottage: but He is building a palace. He intends to come and live in it Himself."

Spring Break!!!!

You have gotta love skiing for spring break. As if you hadn't had enough snow for the year. The first day that we got here It snowed 5 inches in 2 hours. nothing says spring break like a blanket of snow.

Alas

Today had the absolutely PERFECT outdoor running weather! My run was great and I have NO TESTS to study for this week. So relaxing. So much free time. Alas, the majority of the family is vacationing. Thus I will blog often with no response.

'Cuz We're Cute Like That

Yummy!

Isn't conference just amazing?! Now I can't wait for the Ensign to get to my house! This weekend has been fantabulous! I decided that I wanted to learn to make lasagna and so I did! It turned out really yummy and I would post a recipe but i don't have one. I read like six different lasagna recipes and then just put it together. I like cooking without recipes.

Inhale...Exhale....WAHOO!

This week was RIDICULOUSLY full of STUFF! I had a physiology test monday, an o-chem test on wednesday, and a med micro test friday. Add that to four labs, all my classes, feeding the sister missionaries, directing choir practice, getting paperwork done for a dual major, institute class, and SORTING OUT MY ENTIRE FUTURE and I dare say that I was feeling just a TINY bit stressed...and now it's over. :) swoooooo.....aaahhhhhhhh. (That was a deep breath.) And the marvelous blessing of it all, is that both my roomy and my sweetie are going to be out of town tomorrow so I will have the whole day to myself to do whatever I want....to sit and do nothing....to chill and watch conference....and if I'm feeling ambitious, write my 10 page paper that's due Tuesday...or my 12 page paper that's due Thursday...either way...It's gonna be nice. Wanna know what I'm gonna do now?
ROCK OUT!

Random words for the day

well since i haven't posted on here forever i just thought that i would add my random note for the day. here are some strange definitions that you probably didn't know:
  • comic means intended to be funny but comical means funny unintentionally
  • a synonym for laughter is yuck
  • superannuated means old, so does doddering
  • beatitude means happiness
  • perspicacity is intelligence
  • booger is not a real word!

Its A GIRL!!! (they are pretty sure :)

Well family we have had two half opinions (meaning not quite sure) about the gender of our baby from two different doctors. Two halfs make a whole so we are going with the statement that we are having a girl!! The chord was still between the legs but the doctor got a good bum shot and said that if she put money on it she would bet it was a girl. Now it is naming time :) Tell me what you think, Jamie Michelle or Kylee Beth?

Yay Medical Microbiology

Ok...funny story...and this time it's not about bacteria. It's about FUNGI! We started the mycology section of our class today. There's not many pathogenic fungi (aka harmful disease causing fungi) in this world but they often cause unharmful diseases of the skin. Today we dicussed a fungi called Malassezia furfura. It causes a superficial skin infection that's not harmful, it just makes discolored patches on your skin. When class got over there was a seven person line to the teachers podium and I kid you not, half of those ppl were showing our professor their arms and asking if they had a fungal infection. I got a good chuckle out of it. This same professor announced today that our test on Friday is in a different smaller room and thus some of us will have to sit on the floor. awesome.

Graduation!

Well I have paid my rediculous amount of money so it is a sure thing. I will be walking on May 10 at 1:30 in the fieldhouse at UW. (Wherever that is, probably a barn) All who want to are welcome to attend! :)

The Life of a Pregnant Lady

I am embarking on my 6th month of pregnancy ladies and gentleman. 3 months to go aaahhh!! Over the last few weeks I have finally been told that I am looking pregnant. In the words of my co workers "Anna you got huge! :) "

Well here a few stories from the preggy lady. So yesterday I went in to get my blood glucose test. It is a test to see if you have diabetes and who knows what else. They have you drink some sugar stuff and then take your blood an hour later. So I am thinking that I have to drink this little cup of fizzy drink right? WRONG. She brings me this bottle full of orange drink and tells me I have five minutes to down it. It tastes like flat orange pop with about 100 times the sugar. Wow it was amazing! Anyway I drank it and then I had to wait in the office for an hour before they could draw my blood. So I am sitting there reading and all of a sudden my tummy starts jumping. I am watching my stomach move around, it was cool and a little weird! My baby really likes sugar. :)
This morning at 6am I am awoken by some friendly kicks in the side reminding me that life is not all about me anymore. The same thing happens when I lay down for a nap. I can already tell that this little one is not going to let her momma or poppa sleep often. :)

My Next 3 Birthdays!!!!

Welcome to Anna's dream come true. So for about two years I have been pining for a full sized piano keyboard. It has finally happened!!! I have my very own portable piano. Let me tell you folks it is amazing. Think slightly lower tech Clavinova!!! It was on sale as well. Even on sale it was quite a price so David has said that it is my next three birthdays and maybe even a few Christmas's. Thats ok because I love love love it!! Above is the before picture of the keyboard that I probably played once. And below is my baby!
TaDA here she is. I have named her Yamameemah. Isn't she beautiful?
One last picture I couldn't resist!
